The Erasmus+ project SocialECOnomy brought together social economy enterprises and non-profit organisations from Austria, Poland, Germany and Italy to strengthen circular economy principles.
A hands-on training empowered social entrepreneurs and their teams to increase competitiveness and contribute to the vision of the European Green Deal - with a particular focus on people with fewer opportunities.
TRAINING IN VIENNA

Circularity resonates with the core values of the social economy: sustainability, common good, responsibility.
WHY CIRCULAR ECONOMY?
Why circular economy for social enterprises?
Through circular principles such as waste prevention, material reuse and local resource loops, social enterprises increase resilience, reduce operating costs and create long-term value for their communities.
Our shared goal
Participating social enterprises gained the skills, knowledge and networks to implement circular practices - and thereby increase their social and environmental impact.
Circular Business Model Toolkit
The toolkit guides social enterprises step by step into circular processes: core principles, design-thinking methods, SMART planning tools and four case studies from Poland, Germany, Italy and Austria - from gastronomy and textile reuse to education.
